MISHAWAKA - Marilyn Jo Allen, 70, of Mishawaka, died at
6:25 p.m. Saturday January 5, 2008. She was born in Hymera,
Indiana on January 26, 1937 to Rev. Walter and Mary (Clark)
Allen. Marilyn is survived by her brother, Rev. Edgar (Phyllis)
Allen of Mishawaka; a sister, Ruth (Charles) Van Dusen of
Mission, Texas; a brother-in-law, Willard Dickey of
Mishawaka; and several nieces and nephews who were very close to
her. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother,
William; and two sisters, Juanita Smith and Gertrude
Dickey. She was a life-long member of the Assemblies of God
Church. Marilyn was a talented musician, and she used that talent
in the service of the Lord. She devoted her life to caring for
family and friends.
Friends may visit with the family from 3 to
7 p.m. Tuesday January 8, in Bubb Funeral Chapel and one hour
prior to the funeral at the church. Funeral service will be held
at 1 p.m. Wednesday in New Life Community Church. Burial will
follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorial
