Beatrice L. Allen, 63, of Early Road, New Carlisle, Ind., passed away of natural causes at 2 a.m. Sunday, July 8, in Hospice House, South Bend, Ind. Mrs. Allen was born March 12, 1938, to Joseph Eugene and Sarah Leona (Straub) Haas, in St. Joseph County. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene Nelly Miltroka. She is survived by her daughters, Tonya L. Allen of New Carlisle and Valerie Allen of Mishawaka, Ind.; her son, Jeffrey Campbell; three sisters, Mary Carter of North Liberty, Hazel Starrett of Niles, Mich., and Charity Lathom of LaPorte, Ind., and their children; her best friend, Frances Gloster of South Bend; three grandchildren; and by a niece, Tracy Carter of Mishawaka.

Beatrice graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1956. She worked for over 16 years as a sterile supply technician with Saint Joseph Hospital in South Bend.

Visitation was held from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind. Services followed visitation at 3 p.m. Interment was at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
