SOUTH BEND - Thomas A. Alexander, 58, passed away in his residence at 10:38 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2010. Tom was born July 12, 1952. Surviving are his daughters, Karen Gorlewski and Amy Alexander; and his siblings, Sonya Cameron, Lynn Kaiser, Ann Vose and Alan Alexander. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, where a Masonic service will begin at 10:45 a.m. The memorial service for Tom will follow at 11 a.m. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

SOUTH BEND - Thomas A. Alexander, 58, passed away in his residence at 10:38 p.m. on Monday, July 26th. Tom was born July 12, 1952, in Auburn, Indiana, to the late Fred and Madonna (Davis) Alexander. Surviving are his daughters, Karen Gorlewski and her husband, Eric of Elsmere, Kentucky, and Amy Alexander of Celebration, Florida. Tom is also survived by his granddaughter, Danica Gorlewski; and his siblings, Sonya Cameron, Lynn Kaiser and her husband, Tony, Ann Vose and her husband, Phil, and Alan Alexander and his wife, Rita. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 31st, in the First United Methodist Church in Mishawaka, where a Masonic service will begin at 10:45 a.m. The memorial service for Tom will follow at 11 a.m. Tom graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1970, and earned his bachelor's degree from Butler University in 1975, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Chi Fraternity. He was employed for many years as a research pharmacist with the Perrigo Company of Allegan, Michigan. In his spare time he enjoyed figure skating, as well as coaching the Special Olympians in the sport. Tom was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and Mishawaka Masonic Lodge #130. He had also attended First United Methodist Church in Mishawaka In his memory, contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, or to the Special Olympics.
