SOUTH BEND - Arthur Alexander, 76, of Madison Road, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday in Ironwood Health & Rehabiliation Center. Mr. Alexander retired from White Farm Equipment Co. and was an employee of the Studebaker Corp. He was born May 3, 1920, in Equality, Ill., and lived in South Bend since 1922.

On April 20, 1946, in South Bend, he married Susie Bailey. She survives with three sons, Terry L. and William R., both of South Bend, and Gerald A. of Middlebury; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Lorraine Perkins of South Bend; and a brother, Hubert of Memphis, Tenn. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Zahoran Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
