SOUTH BEND - Services for John D.
Albrecht, 72, of Strawberry Hill Road, who died at 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday in Regency Place, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St.
Matthew Cathedral. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends
may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Guisinger Colonial
Chapel Funeral Home.
Mr. Albrecht retired in 1977 from the U.S.
Postal Service as an inspector. He was born Nov. 27, 1922, in
Lacrosse, Wis., and lived in South Bend for 31 years, coming from
Marion, Ohio.
On May 13, 1948, in Lacrosse, he married
Arlene Barclay. She survives with four daughters, Jane Smith
of Indianapolis, Mary Breisch of Edwardsburg, Joan Riedle
of Platteville, Wis., and Sarah Anderson of Mount
Vernon, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Larson
of Lacrosse; and a brother, Richard of Lacrosse. He was a member
of the church and American Legion Post 0777, Indianapolis, and a
veteran of World War II.
