MISHAWAKA - Dorothy A. Albertson, 76, of Mishawaka, passed away at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008, in her daughter's home. Dorothy was born on October 9, 1932, in Silver Lake, IN, to the late Raymond G. and Docha (Sippy) Shewman. On July 12, 1952, she married William F. Albertson Jr., who passed away October 24, 1976. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Gerald and Raymond Shewman; and two sisters, Ruth Davis and Edith Carr. She is survived by her children, Sharon Albertson of Granger, Karen Barr of Granger, William F. Albertson III of South Bend and Shirley Albertson of Mishawaka; three grandchildren, Kiley, John and Shannon; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Katelyn. She is also survived by one sister, Esther Ireland of North Manchester, IN. She will be remembered for her love of animals, especially bird watching. She also volunteered for many years for special-needs children.
