SOUTH BEND -- Rosetta (Taylor) Duggan
Albert, 93, of Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center,
died Sunday in the center of natural causes.
Survivors include her husband, Frank.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. There will be no
visitation. Welsheimer Family Funeral Homes is handling
arrangements.
Rosetta Erdine Albert passed away on
Sunday, Aug. 14, in the Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation
Center, South Bend, Indiana, at the age of 92. Rosetta was born
Rosetta E. Taylor to Irvin and Mabel Anna (Reinke)
Taylor in Steuben County, Indiana, on October 16, 1912. In 1920
her family moved to Bethel Township, Branch County, Michigan,
where she attended Bethel Block Elementary School, Coldwater High
School and Branch County Normal for one year. She also taught at
a country school in Monroe, Michigan.
Rosetta entered the Epworth Memorial
Hospital School of Nursing in 1935, was in the graduated class of
1938, and became a registered nurse in that same year.
In 1939 she married Doctor James A Duggan
and was stepmother to Dr. Duggan's three sons, George, James J.
and Donn Duggan. Dr. Duggan died in 1959. In 1961, she married
Frank Albert Jr.
Rosetta enjoyed traveling and entertaining
in her home in South Bend and at a second home in Florida. She is
survived by her husband, Frank Albert Jr., who resides in South
Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph
County, Ind.
