SOUTH BEND - Frank Albert Jr., 87, died on Thursday, Dec.
13, 2007, in the Holy Cross Care & Rehabilitation Center. He
was born in South Bend on January 7, 1920, one of three children
to the late Frank Albert and Suzanna (Szabo) Albert. He was a
lifelong area resident. Frank's passion for photography found
expression in his faithful and valued employment at the former
Schilling's Camera Store and in his self-employment as an area
photographer of high repute. Frank was preceded in death by his
two sisters, Margaret Worthington and Julia Kerestury.
He is survived by a nephew, Gerald Kaufman of Bremen;
great-nephews, William Racz, Jory Racz and Gary Racz, all
of St. Joseph County; and great-nieces, Angela Racz King
of St. Joseph County and Judith Kerestury of Colorado.
In April 1961, Frank married Rosetta Taylor Duggan,
who preceded him in death on August 14, 2005. Frank and Rosetta
especially enjoyed travelling and wintering in Florida. Frank was
especially fond of Rosetta's step-grandchildren, Kathy Anderson
of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Michael Duggan of Portage, MI, and Nancy
Wasserman of Bloomfield Township, MI. The family of Frank
is especially indebted to Aurora Yaw of South Bend for her
steadfast friendship and the care and companionship that she gave
Frank in his last years.
A private service is scheduled to be celebrated after the first of the year. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, Inc., or to The American Cancer Society-North Central Indiana Area Office. Welsheimer Family Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
