Robert Frederick ''Bob'' Addington, 67, of West Bears Avenue, Tampa, Fla., formerly of Elkhart, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 4, in Tampa General Hospital.
Bob was born on March 13, 1932, in South Bend, Ind., to Russell and Helen (Greiner) Addington, who both have preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Dorathea E. DeByle, and his twin sister, Elsie J. Neely.
Bob leaves to cherish his memories his loving children, a son, Gregory D. Addington of Fort Worth, Texas, and daughters, Theresa (Russell) Brantley of Bristol, Ind., Carol Taylor of Elkhart, Mary (Todd) Merrick of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Yvonne Addington of Bristol; a sister, Ruth E. Jansen of Mishawaka, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Bob was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force, and retired from GTE. He was a member of J.F. Swartsel Lodge #251 in Tampa, Scottish Rite in Tampa, and the Egypt Temple in Tampa.
Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 8, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Hughes officiating. Burial services will be private. Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2211 North Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, IL 60707.
The Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, is handling arrangements.
