SOUTH BEND - Services for Mary E. Adams,
78, of Locust Road, who was found dead in her home at 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday of natural causes, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in
Christian Center. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends
may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521
N. William St., and one hour before services Monday in the
church. Memorial contributions may be made LeSea Inc.
Mrs. Adams retired in 1978 from Hamilton's
Plumbing & Heating as a secretary. She was born Nov. 28,
1917, in St. Joseph County.
On Oct. 12, 1947, in South Bend, as Mary E. Whiteman,
she married William A. Adams. He died May 29, 1965. She is
survived by a brother, Don R. Whiteman of South Bend; a niece,
Judy Janicki of South Bend; and two nephews, Tom Hawblitzel
of Warsaw and Don E. Whiteman of South Bend. She attended the
church.
