MISHAWAKA - Kenneth W. Adams, age 78, of Mishawaka,
Indiana passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at St. Joseph
Regional Medical Center in South Bend of natural causes. Kenneth
was born July 7, 1929, in Herrin, Illinois to the late Fred and
Delphia (Phillips) Adams.
On January 24, 1954, Ken married the former
Ms. Loretta Lane in Mishawaka, Indiana. Loretta survives, along
with their son, Stephen (Melanie) Adams of South Bend, and
daughters Kathy (Louis) Beers of Granger and Tina Carner
of Mishawaka, Indiana. Also surviving are nine grandchildren,
Louie Beers II, Amy Beers, Katie Beers, Kyle Adams, Kelin Adams,
Kory Adams, Steven Carner II, Brian Carner, and Alan Carner.
Surviving as well are Kenneth's siblings, Donald, Chuck, and
David Adams, Barb England, Beverly Berger, Deolres
(Bob) Miller, and Pat (Al) Marcharnt. Kenneth is
also survived by his beloved Chihuahua, Peanut.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m.
Monday, March 3, 2008 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008 at
Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow in Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens. Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was
honorably discharged in 1952. He was employed by I&M Electric
for 29 years until his retirement in 1985. In his spare time, he
enjoyed spending time and fishing at his cabin at Twin Lakes,
skiing, snowmobiling, and traveling to Las Vegas. In his memory,
donations may be given to the National Kidney Foundation.
