Robert L. Adair

February 23, 1910 – April 18, 1965

Robert Adair, 5, of 105 N. O’Brien St, died at 2:30am Sunday while in Willie’s Bar-B-Q, 2202 W Washington Ave.  Dr. Harry A. Ludwick St Joseph County coroner said Mr. Adair died of natural causes.

He was born on February 23, 1910, in Chattanooga TN, coming to South Bend 30 years ago.  His wife, the former Ruby Wilson, died in 1958.  He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mamie Wilson, of South Bend; two sons, Robert and James, both at home; a grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Lucille Chisholm, of Chattanooga.

Friends may call after 11am Wednesday in the Haynes Funeral Home.  Services will be at 1pm Thursday in St John Baptist Church, Rev. Bernard White, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in City Cemetery.  He was a veteran of WW II and a member of Post 309, American Legion.
