Romise Abbiehl
Oct. 7, 1991 - July 17, 2010
GRANGER - Amanda Romise Abbiehl, 18, passed away unexpectedly on
Saturday, July 17th, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center,
Mishawaka. Amanda was born in South Bend on October 7, 1991. She
was a 2010 Penn High School graduate. She played volleyball,
earned her core 40 diploma and graduated early. She was full of
life and energy. She was a very outspoken young lady, but very
kind, generous, bubbly, loving and caring daughter. Her hobbies
besides boys included water sports and volleyball, and she loved
to go on our winter vacations to either Mexico or the Dominican
Republic. Also just hanging with her friends, texting them or on
face book sharing pictures and all the daily gossip. Absolutely a
gorgeous girl, who would light up the room when she walked in.
She will be so terribly missed! Surviving Amanda are her parents,
Brian and Cindy (Hartig) Abbiehl of Granger; her brother, Andrew
Abbiehl of Mishawaka; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Theweah
Hartig of Mishawaka; paternal grandmother, Geneva Abbiehl of
Mishawaka; her Uncle Mark of Hallettsville, TX, along with Gordon
Clark and her Uncle Steve and Aunt Julie Hartig; and cousins,
Nick and Zack Hartig of Clarkston, MI, Chris and Laura Lindzy of
Three Oaks, MI, David and Jessica Lindzy of Colorado and Reianna
Lozano of Elkhart; many second cousins, great-aunts, and
great-uncles. Amanda even had several of her friends' mothers
whom she would also call "Mom." She was preceded in
death by her grandfather, Leroy Abbiehl, and an aunt, Cheryl
Wilson. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
on Wednesday, July 21st, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street,
Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday,
July 22, in First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, with Rev.
Larry Whitehead officiating. The family requests that in lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions be made in honor of Amanda to Pet
Refuge or to the Amanda Abbiehl Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be
available at the funeral home. To leave the family an online
condolence or to share memories with the family, please visit our
