  Frank Yates Davis was born 27 May 1858 in Portage County, Ohio, the fourth
child of Daniel Hale and Elizabeth (Yates) Davis.  On 26 Sep 1886 in Angola,
Indiana he married Harriet Elizabeth Schmeiser.  Harriet was born 29 Jun 1857
in Columbiana County, Ohio, the youngest of five children born to Johann
Georg and Elisabeth (Germann) Schmeiser.
