WILLIAM WILDER

William Wilder died in St. Johnsbury, VT., February 22, 1885, in the sixty-eighth
year of his age. Deceased moved to Millgrove Township, Steuben County, Indiana,
in 1836, from New York, in company with his parents and their family, of which
O.Wilder and G. K. Wilder still remain in the township.

William Wilder was the third Sheriff elected in Steuben county, serving from 1843
to 1845, and lived in Angola about five years. He afterward removed to Vermont,
where he resided until his death.

He was successful in business, a respected citizen, honored in the church and died
confident in hope of immortal glory. He left a wife, son and daughter to mourn the
loss of an affectionate husband and father.

Additional Information:

William Wilder's parents were William and Mary (Breed) Wilder. Brother Orlando
Wilder was born in 1815 and died 08 Nov 1891. Brother George Kendrick Wilder,
was born in 1828 and died in 1897.
