CENTENARIAN DIES TUESDAY

Mrs. Tena Widdicombe, who marked her one hundredth birthday on January 31st of this year, passed away late Tuesday evening at her home at 301 South Martha street, Angola. She had been in fairly good health until a fall in January and since that time she had steadily declined in health.

Mrs. Widdicombe, a widow for over fifty years, was born in DeKalb county and had lived in New York, Washington, D.C., Florida and California before moving to Indiana from California ten years ago.

Surviving are six children, Miss Adah Widdicombe and Mrs. Irene Harman, both of Angola; Mrs. David Johnson and Mrs. Clair Smith, both of Waterloo; Mrs. Edith Bowman, Akron, Ohio and Robert Widdicombe, San Diego, California; nine grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Weicht funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this writing.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Tena was born Christina Henney, daughter of John Henney and Elizabeth Sowers Henney, both immigrants from Germany. Her husband was Robert Henry Widdicombe, who died in Waterloo in 1914.
