Metz, Aug. 31 –

   Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Smith, 77, died early today at her home near here.

   Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pm (CDT) at Mt. Pleasant Church with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

   Surviving are nine children, Mrs. Emma Myers and Mrs. Leona Eyster of Steuben County, Mrs. Eva Kogin and Elgin Smith of Metz, Ira Smith of Edon, O., Elmer Smith of Stroh, Floyd Smith of West Unity, O., Paul Smith of Bronson, Mich., and William Smith of Bridgewater, O.

   The body was removed to the Klink Funeral Home at Angola and will be taken to the Kogin residence.
