MYRON POWERS

	At his home in York Township, Wednesday morning, 
Sept. 20, 1893, Myron Powers, aged 67 years, 1 month, 
and 1 day.

	Deceased was born in Allegany Co., New York, and 
came with his father's family to York Township in 1837, 
and resided there continuously until his death. Mr. 
Powers was one of the substantial farmers of the county, 
and was widely known and highly respected. Neighbors in 
need always found a helping friend in Mr. Powers. 
Funeral services were held at the Powers church on 
Thursday afternoon, conducted by Prof. L. W. Fairfield, 
of Angola, and were largely attended.

Additional information:

	Myron Powers, the son of Winn and Betsey (Reeves) 
Powers, was born 19 Aug 1826, in Allen, Allegany County, 
New York. He married Eliza Dillingham on 07 Dec 1851 in 
York Township, Steuben County, Indiana. Eliza died 18 
July 1896.

	Their children:

	Eskey Powers, 23 Mar 1853 - Feb 1854.
	Erwin Powers, 22 May 1856 - 07 Sep 1859.
	Bettie (Powers) Dunham, Aug 1859 - 10 Apr 1904.
	Elmo Powers, 01 Jun 1872 - 1946.
