Fanny Moore
Obituary - Departed this life April 26, 1871, Mrs. Fanny Moore, wife of John
Moore of Fremont, Indiana in the 59th year of age. Fanny Moore was
born Nov. 16th, 1811 in the State of Connecticut, Litchfield Co., Warren
Township; moved to Ohio and was joined in marriage to John Moore December
26, 1833.
They came to Indiana in 1846, where they have since remained
in Steuben County. Sister Moore was happily converted and united with
the M.E. Church in Talmage, Porter Co., Ohio in which she has always sustained
the relationship of a faithful member.
With her husband she has been on a visit to her former home
to greet again her parents, who still survive her, but before going she had
taken the precaution to distribute between her son and daughter some of the
relics of the household, with the remark “it may be that I shall never
return.” She however returned in health.
On Apr 26th like a glorious sunset shedding its rich luster
with a silent adieu, her happy spirit bore the angel plume to the cylsian
fields of glory. A bereaved husband, son and daughter, with many friends
feel the affliction and loss of one whose memory will be cherished with endearing
emotions.
