NORMAN J. MEEK
Norman J. Meek, second son of
William and Susan Meek, was born May 8, 1874 at East Gilead, Michigan, and
departed this life August 22, 1924, at his home on the Se--- Crampton farm,
near Pleasant Lake.
He was united in marriage to Nora
Ruth, December 24th 1907 and to this happy union twin daughters were born,
one dying in infancy. He spent most of his boyhood days in Steuben county,
where he made many friends, who will remember him as one willing to do his
part.
His life was one of unselfishness,
always looking for the comfort and welfare of those he loved. Under the
ministry of Elder Vernon Stauffer, he became a member of the First Christian
church of Angola of which he still was a member at his death.
He leaves tomourn their loss,
his wife and daughter Ruth, his mother, Mrs. Susan Meek, of Angola, two
brothers, George and Ray Meek, of Angola, two sisters, Mrs. Sam Morrison,
of Angola, and Mrs. Thomas McIlvenna, of Detroit, Mich., several nieces
and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted
by Elder Walter E. Harman at the Baptist church, Pleasant Lake, Monday at
10:30a.m. Interment at the South Scott cemetery.
