Died
Light -- In Orland, May 7, 1883, Frances L., wife of James D. Light,
aged 40 years, 4 months and 25 days.
The deceased came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burnham to Indiana in
1844 and settled in Noble county, near what is now known as
Kendallville. She was married to James D. Light in 1860 and came
to Orland in 1865. She had been for many years an exemplary
member of the Methodist church. On Tuesday the funeral services
were held at the church. Her pastor, Elder Currie, preached an
appropriate discourse to a large audience of sympathizing friends who
followed her to her last resting place, in Green Lawn cemetery.
In their bereavement the afflicted family have the sympathy of all.
