(CARICHNER) HULWICK, 17 Feb 1857 - 22 Jan 1921 Fannie Carichner, daughter of Joseph and Mary Carichner, was born in Portage County, Ohio, February 17, 1857, and departed this life January 22, 1921, aged 63 years, 11 months and 5 days. Deceased came with her parents from Portage County, Ohio, at the age of six years, and has ever since been a resident of this county. She was united in marriage to Ephraim Hulwick, July 4, 1877. To this union were born four children, Mrs. Dellie, Mrs Addie Erwin, Mrs. Nellie VanGilder, and one son who died in infancy. She was always known as a hard-working woman, and simplicity reigned in the home. She was highly spoken of because of her known integrity and thus in the going of Mrs. Hulwick the neighborhood loses one of their valued citizens. She leaves to mourn her departure, besides the husband, three daughters, two sons-in-law, six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. H. W. Jewell, and one brother, Fred Carichner, both of Trumbull County, Ohio. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church, Monday, January 24, 1921, at 1:30 p.m., Rev. John Humphreys officiating. She was laid to rest in the old cemetery at Angola, Ind. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Fannie/Fanny A. (Carichner) Hulwick, 17 Feb 1857 - 22 Jan 1921, married Ephraim B. Hulwick, 06 Sep 1853 - 05 Apr 1932. They are buried at Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. Fanny was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Carichner. Ephraim was the son of John and Fanny Augusta (Williams) Hulwick, 01 Aug 1829 - 14 Jun 1900. Fanny is buried at Pleasant Lake Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana, but John is not listed in the cemetery book.
