HUDSON
Sturgis,
Mich., April 7 –
William Walker Hudson, 54, insurance salesman, died unexpectedly
this morning
at his home here. He was a World War veteran, serving overseas
as a captain with
the United States Army and being recommended for a major’s
commission after the
war. He was a graduate of Purdue University and was a member of
the American
Legion., St. John’s Episcopal Church, the Fort Wayne Shrine, the
Masonic Blue
Lodge at Howe and Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity at Purdue.
A native of Howe, he made his home there until 11 years ago,
when he came to
this city.
The body was removed to the Moon Funeral Home. Funeral services
will be held
Wednesday at 2:30 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Rev. H.
M. Laws
officiating. American Legion Post 73 will conduct military
rites. Burial will
be in Riverside Cemetery in Howe.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Forrest Olwine Hudson; one son,
William Hudson,
Jr., at home; one daughter, Virginia Belle Hudson, at home and
one sister, Mrs.
Frank Rice of Howe.
