STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, September 27, 1893, pg. 8, col. 2 WILLIAM T. HEATH, 27 Jul 1816 - 21 Sep 1893 DIED at his home in Fremont township, Thursday, Sept. 21, 1893, William T. Heath, aged 77 years, 1 month and 24 days. Deceased was born in Columbia Co., New York, July 27, 1816. In 1840 he was united in marriage with Harriet D. Wilcox, of Berkshire Co., Mass., and in 1848 removed to this county. He inherited from his father a talent for music and for many years was a very popular and successful teacher of that art. He was a favorite in social circles and his love for music, instrumental and vocal, was unbounded. Her was a kind hearted man and noted for his honorable dealing. This brief mention of his death will call to mind many scenes and incidents of the early days of Steuben county, for perhaps no man in this section was more widely known.
