Near Lake Gage, Ind., April 25, 1892, Mary Jane Heath,
aged 62 years.

Deceased was born in Chenango County, N. Y., in 1830,
and came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Twichell, to
this county in 1836. She was married to Lyman J. Heath in
1852, who, together with one son and one daughter, are left to
survive her. A loving wife and mother, a kind and helpful
friend, is gone to her eternal rest. The funeral was held
April 27, Rev. D. Q. Travis, officiating.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Mary Jane (Twichell) Heath, 19 Feb 1830 - 25 Apr 1892, married
Joseph Lyman Heath (J.L.) on 12 Aug 1852. The marriage license
published in the article "The Tie That binds" in the Steuben
Republican, Wednesday, March 4, 1891, page 8, column 3, listed
his name as Joseph L. Heath opposed to the obituary listing
him as Lyman J. Heath.

Mary's parents were pioneer settlers of Steuben County:
Benjamin Smith Twichell (04 Jul 1806 - 05 Aug 1868) and Sabra
C. (Rodgers) Twichell (08 May 1806 -05 May 1874). Joseph Lyman
Heath was born 28 Mar 1827, no date of death cut on tombstone.

"Cemeteries of Steuben County, Ind., 1990" by Audree Siebel
Lewis, Vol. I, pages 865, 866, lists the deaths of two infant
sons of Mary and Joseph:
Henry T. Heath, died 29 Jun 1874, age 1 y. 6 m. 20 d.
James A. Heath, died 14 Aug 1855, age 1 y, 6 m.
All are buried at Lake Gage Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
