STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 1903, page 1, column 7 CAROLINE (KUNKLER) CLECKNER HEALEY, 12 Dec 1835 - 24 Mar 1903 Caroline Kunkler was born in Seneca county, Ohio, Dec. 12, 1835, and died at her home in Scott township, March 24, 1903, aged 67 years, 3 months and 12 days. She was married to John Cleckner in the year 1856. To this union were born four children, two of whom are living, Daniel Cleckner, of Pleasant Lake, and John Cleckner, of Scott township. This husband died in the cause of his country in July, 1862. Mrs. Cleckner and her two sons moved to this county in the year 1863. She was again united in marriage to William Healey on Jan. 8, 1865. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Alton Gilbert, of York township, and Wm. Healey, of Pleasant Lake, remain, besides her aged husband and these children, are eleven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends left to mourn their loss. She united with the Saint church in Dec. 1895, at South Scott, and remained a faithful member until her death. Their children: John Cleckner, 23 Dec 1858 - 09 Jan 1933, married Hattie A. (Clark) Cleckner, 13 Sep 1862 - 03 Jul 1958, daughter of William H. Clark, 28 Oct 1818 - 16 Aug 1904, and Elizabeth (Rinehart) Clark, 09 Nov 1825 - 24 Jul 1914. Son, Daniel, is not listed in Cemetery book. Married 2nd, William Healey, 1830 - 1905. Their children: Adam M. (Healey) Gilbert, 1866 - 1938, married Alton J. Gilbert, 1865 - 1935. Possible son: William R. Healey, 1870 - 1952, married Sarah E. Healey, 1872 - 1953. The above are buried at South Scott Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana, except 1st husband, John Cleckner.
