MARGARET E. (CARR) GREENAMYER, 10 Aug 1920 - 12 Dec 2001

   ANGOLA-Margaret E. Greenamyer, 81, died Wednesday, Dec. 
12, 2001, at 4:45 a.m. in Northern Lakes Nursing and 
Rehabilitation Center (formerly Carlin Park) in Angola.
   Mrs. Greenamyer was a homemaker and lived in Angola.  She 
attended Crooked Lake School from first grade through eighth 
grade and graduated from Angola High School in 1938.
   She was a member of Metz Christian Church, where she was 
the secretary of the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School for 
many years.
   Mrs. Greenamyer volunteered for the American Red Cross and 
Sheltered Workshop, and was a "gray lady" at Cameron Memorial 
Community Hospital.  She was a certified nurse's aide for 
nursing homes.  She operated an egg route throughout the area 
for many years.
   Mrs. Greenamyer was born Aug. 10, 1920, in Pleasant 
Township, Steuben County, to Arthur E. and Helen M. (Maloy) 
Carr.
   She married Jesse L. Greenamyer on March 16, 1940.  He 
died Feb. 27, 2001.
   Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, John K. and 
Connie Greenamyer of Angola, two daughters and one son-in-
law, Helen R. Greenamyer of South Bend and Gayle and Barry 
Linnell of Montpelier, Ohio; one brother, William Carr of 
Angola; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and 
Charlie Carr; two sisters, Florence Garman and Doris Six; and 
one great-grandson, A. J. Smith.
   Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Metz 
Christian Church, with calling there after 10 a.m.  The Rev. 
Greg Essex, pastor of the church will officiate.  Burial will 
be in Jordan Cemetery, Scott Township, Steuben County.
   Memorials are to the American Cancer Society or American 
Heart Association.
   Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, is in charge of arrangements.

Greenamyer, 04 Sep 1896 - 25 Feb 1951.  Margaret and Jesse 
are buried at Lake Gage Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.  
John and Rosa are buried at Jordan Cemetery, Steuben County, 
Indiana.
