JESSE LEE GREENAMYER, 01 Nov 1915 - 27 Feb 2001

   Angola resident Jesse Lee Greenamyer, 85, died Tuesday at 
Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola.
   He was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Scott Township, Steuben 
County, to John J. and Rosa (Shoup) Greenamyer.
   Mr. Greenamyer was a prominent Steuben County farmer and a 
school bus driver for the Metropolitan School District of 
Steuben County for 49 years.  He was active and held many 
offices in the Steuben County agriculture services for 
several years.  He enjoyed doing construction work.  A member 
of the Metz Christian Church, he was active in various other 
activities in the area.  Mr. Greenamyer was a charter member 
of the Metz Volunteer Fire Department.
   He is survived by his wife, Margaret, whom he married 
March 16, 1940; a son, John K. of Angola; two daughters, 
Helen R. Greenamyer of South Bend and Gayle Linnell of 
Montpelier, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bryle, Earl 
and Raymond; two sisters, Bertha and Mildred Greenamyer; and 
a great-grandson, A. J. Smith.
   Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Metz Christian 
Church, York Township, Steuben County, with the Revs. Greg 
Essex and J. Glenn Radcliffe officiating.  Burial will be in 
Jordan Cemetery at a later date.
   There will be no visitation.
   Memorials are to the American Heart Association and 
American Cancer Association.
   Arrangements are by Weicht Funeral Home, Angola.

Jesse Greenamyer, 02 Oct 1885 - 08 Apr 1967, who, on 24 Jul 
1904, married Rosa Mae (Shoup) Greenamyer, 04 Sep 1886 - 25 
Feb 1951.  John and Rosa are buried at Jordan Cemetery, 
Steuben County, Indiana.

   Byrle E. Greenamyer, 21 Jun 1906 - 26 Jun 1978, on 01 Dec 
1936, married Joyce (Harter) Greenamyer, 22 Jan 1909 - 05 Feb 
1977, daughter of Harvey and Josie (Merriett) Harter.  Byrle 
and Joyce are buried at Coventry Cemetery, Steuben County, 
Indiana.
   Earl R. Greenamyer, 11 Sep 1908 - 01 Jan 1994, on 06 Apr 
1930, married Lois Fern (Everett) Greenamyer, 01 Apr 1910 - 
no date of death, daughter of Judson and Emily (LaRue) 
Everett.  Earl and Lois are buried at Jordan Cemetery.
   Bertha M. Greenamyer, 1911 - 1933, buried at Jordan 
Cemetery.
   Raymond J. Greenamyer, 12 Sep 1918 - 22 Dec 1919, buried 
at Jordan Cemetery.
   Mildred Greenamyer, no dates, buried at Jordan Cemetery.
