June 1913 JAMES P. GLEASON ( 21 April 1848- 14 June 1913 ) James P. Gleason was born April 21, 1848, on a farm near Angola, Indiana, where he grew to manood. He passed from this life June 14, 1913, at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 24 days. In early life he became a christian and never wavered in his love for his church and his God. He was married to Sepharna J. Hultz, near the age of 35 years. To this union one child was born, Nora J. Gleason, now twenty-five years of age. Twenty-four years ago he went to Forrest, Illinois, where he lived for eighteen years. He contributed much time and money in trying to establish a Christian Church in that place. Six years ago he went to Washington, and soon became a member of the church of Chehalis. He leaves to mourn his departure, one daughter, two brothers and one sister. He meets a loving Savior and a father, mother, four brothers and two sisters on the other side. Three years ago he was tricken with paralysis, since which time he has lived with his brother, W.B. Gleason. His health continued to fail until he was called home. His funeral was held at the First Christian Church in Chehalis, Washington, conducted by the pastor, and his remains were laid to rest in the beautiful cemetery nearby. Submitted by J.A.
