LAURA A. (SHANK) DOUDT

	Died in Jackson Township, April 7, 1891, Laura A., wife 
of Elias J. Doudt, aged 34 years, 7 months and 24 days.
	Deceased was the mother of five children, four of whom, 
together with her husband survive her. At the age of fourteen 
she became a member of the United Brethren church and lived a 
faithful, devoted christian life. She was a kind, loving wife 
and mother and will be sadly missed in her family, the church 
and her large circle of friends. Funeral services were held at 
the Pleasant View church, Rev. J. D. Brosy officiating.

	Laura A. (Shank) Doudt, 18 Oct 1856 - 07 Apr 1891, age 
34 y. 5m. 19 d. was the 1st wife of Elias J. Doudt, 19 Jul 
1855 - 07 Mar 1938, son of Levi and Anna (Metzger) Doudt. She 
is listed on the monument with Elias J. and Jennie E. 
(Montooth) Doudt. 

	One child listed in cemetery book: Herman Doudt, died 10 
Aug 1879.
All buried at Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
