William Eleazer Blackman
William Eleazer Blackman was the only son and youngest child of Allen and
Margaret Blackman. He was born July 23, 1860, and departed this life
December 15, 1937 aged 77 years, 4 months and 23 days. On April 5,
1888, he
was united in marriage to Jeannette Sowle. To this union five sons
and two
daughters were born. The wife and two sons have preceded him in death.
He
was a member of the Masons and took an active part in the work as long as
his
health permitted. Two years ago his health failed and since that time
has
been cared for by his son, Frank. He was a kind neighbor, always willing
to
help in need and sickness. Surviving are three sons, two daughters
and nine
grandchildren as well as many friends and neighbors. Funeral services
were
conducted from the Beams Funeral Home Friday afternoon, Dec. 17, with burial
at Munday cemetery in Branch county, Michigan. Rev. Karl Thompson,
of
Fremont, officiated.
