Steuben County’s Spanish American Veterans

A large portion of men who served from this county were members of the 157th Reg. Volunteer Infantry, Companies H and I,
formed from the 3rd Regiment of Infantry, Indiana National Guard. Mustered into regular service 10 May 1898 at Camp Mount,
sent to Camp Thomas, Chickamauga Pk., GA, Tampa City, Florida and then Indianapolis, IN, discharged 1 Nov 1898.
