He is survived by his mother, Clara Saine of North Judson; sisters: Gladys (Roger) Kapp of Rochester, Jo Anne Eskridge of Knox and Debbie (Tim) Shireman of Hanna; and brothers: Ralph (Lisa) Saine of Grovertown, Howard Saine of North Judson, Joseph Saine Jr. of Knox and Tom Saine of Knox.

Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 23 from 2 to 6 p.m. CT at O’Donnell Funeral Home, North Judson. Funeral services are Monday, Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, North Judson.

KNOX — Claude Salyer Jr., 78, died Friday, Oct. 3, in his home.

Surviving are: his wife, Justine; one daughter, Vonda (Robert) Butler of Knox; three sons, Terry (Karen) Salyer of Henager, Ala. and Tim (Delcie) Salyer and Jerry (Janice) Salyer, all of Knox; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Clemons, Colleen Salyer and Jean Minix, all of Salyersville, KY; one brother, Billy Wayne Salyer of Salyersville, KY.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. Central Time at the Free United Baptist Church with Pastors Gerald Allen and Fred Miller officiating.

Friends may call Monday from 4-8 p.m. CDT at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel and Tuesday at the church after 10 a.m.

NORTH JUDSON — Casmer W. Sikora, 79, of LaCrosse, Ind. died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009 at University of Chicago Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Sikora of LaCrosse; two daughters: Kathryn Sikora of LaCrosse and Julie (Don Borcherding) Hornsby of Westville; two sons: Paul (Lori Sikora of Wanatah and Scott (Casey) Sikora of LaCrosse; a sister, Patrcia Hunsley of Wanatah; four brothers: Ed Sikora of South Bend, Joe Sikora of Phoenix, Ariz., Walt Sikora of LaPorte and Gene Sikora of Worth, Ill. And seven grandchildren.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (CT) Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009 at O’Donnell Funeral Home Inc., 302 Lane St. North Judson, Ind.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, North Judson.

Burial will follow at Saint Jacob’s Cemetery, North Judson.

KNOX - John “Jack” Singleton, 79, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 in Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox.

He is survived by his wife MarieLena; sons: John (Cindy) Singleton, Robert Singleton, Gary (April) Singleton, Kevin (Meredith) Singleton, all of Knox and Byron (Deb) Singleton and Chris (Miranda) Singleton, all of Plymouth; two daughters: Karen (Ron) Sobieck and Margaret (Craig) Singleton, all of Knox and many grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Friday, Oct. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. (Central Time) at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel and one hour prior to funeral services Saturday.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 17 at noon at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be at the Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet.

Memorial contributions may be given to Karen Sobieck.

KNOX — Linda L. Singleton, 67, died Saturday, April 4, in her home after an illness.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Singleton Sr.; one daughter, Amy Singleton of Knox; one step-daughter, Rhonda Allen of Knox; one step-son, Ronald Singleton Jr. of Knox; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. (CDT) at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel and Wednesday at the church after 10 a.m.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 8 at 11 a.m. (Central Time) at St. John’s Lutheran Church of LaCrosse.

Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, Knox.

KNOX-Timothy “Ted” Singleton, 81, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 in his home.

He is survived by two sisters: Ruby Snyder and Betty Reese, both of Knox; three brothers: Ray Singleton, Joe Singleton Sr. and Tennis Singleton Jr., all of Knox; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. (Central Time) Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Washington Township Community Building, Knox. A celebration gathering will take place Saturday at the community building at 1 p.m. Cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. CDT at the Washington Township Community Building, Knox.

She is survived by daughters,Vicki (Gregory) Clapp of Orange Park, Fla. and Jennifer (Chris) Harder Hamilton of Fla.; sons: Michael (Linda) Singleton of Wheatfield, Pat Singleton of Valparaiso and Shawn (Rachel) Singleton of Crown Point; a sister, Madeline (Ralph) Allen of Knox; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation took place from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7 at M.C. Smith Funeral Home, 153 E. Washington St., Knox.

Funeral services took place at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8 at the funeral home.

NAPPANEE — Treva Fern Slabaugh, 88, of Nappanee, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 at her residence.

She is survived by sons: Robert (Irene) Slabaugh of Lott, Texas, Lloyd (Martha) Slabaugh of Goshen, and Harlan (Rita) Slabaugh of Nappanee; daughters: Joan (Herbert) Lehman of Nappanee, Laura (Jacob) Helmuth of Sarasota, Fla., and Sharon (Eldon) Christner of Goshen; 33 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Burkholder of Bremen.

Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 and all day Wednesday, June 30 at the Ernie Whetstone residence, 2141 Beech Road.

Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 1 at the Whetstone residence.

Burial will follow at Weldy Cemetery.

Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. CDT at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel with Pastor James Ritchie officiating.

Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery, Knox.

KNOX — Charles Eugene “Pop” Stacy, 82, of Knox, died Wednesday, Dec. 23 in Argos.

He is survived by his sons, Larry (Penny) Stacy of Argos, Gary Stacy of Knox; daughter Renee (Rick) Scarborough of Knox; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mammie Barnett of Pllymouth.

Visitation is at 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel. Services are at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Little officiating.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
