KNOX — Earnest Pinks, 77, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, in Valparaiso Care & Rehab Center.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sisters: Dolly Karch, Barbara Decker and Cindy Karuss, all of LaPorte, and Ethel Feddeler of Knox; and brothers: Virgil of Griffith, Ga., William of LaPorte, Charles of Francesville, and Mack of Stanton, Ky.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (CDT) Friday, June 4 and one hour prior to services Saturday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Highway Chapel Church of God, Hamlet.

Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery of Knox.

KNOX — Dorothy Helen Pinks, 71, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, in her home.

She is survived by a sister, Martha (Gerald) Bonner of Valparaiso; four sisters-in-law: Dolly Karch, Barbara Decker, and Cindy Karuss, all of LaPorte, and Ethel Feddler of Knox; four brothers-in-law: Virgil Pinks of Georgia, William Pinks of LaPorte, Charles Pinks of Francesville, and Mack Pinks of Stanton, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (CT) Sunday, Nov. 14, and one hour prior to services Monday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15 at the Highway Chapel Church of God, Hamlet. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery, Knox.

OBER — Margaret E. Pitrowski, 94, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at her residence.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Jim) Parker of Knox; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Earnest of Knox; and brother, William (Gloria) Dickson of Knox.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (CT) Tuesday, May 4 and one hour prior to services Wednesday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at the Lerch Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the VNA Hospice or Heritage Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mary C. Platte, wife of James Platte, of Grovertown, died July 21 at her home, age 38 years, 6 months, and 21 days. She was born January 1, 1881, at Union Mills to Mr. and Mrs. James Hay. She is survived by her husband, her mother, four children, two sisters and four brothers. Interment was made in Grovertown cemetery.

Plymouth Pilot News 5/17/2010 KNOX — Amy Edith “Gail” Pohl, 40, of Knox, died Friday, May 7, 2010 at Starke Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Howard of Knox; sons, James Howard of Plymouth and Michael Howard of Portage; a daughter, Angela Gmurk of Knox, brothers, Frank Howard of Knox and Steve Howard of Bremen; a sister, Sherry (John) Clemons of Knox; and five grandchildren. Visitation will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 13 at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, 108 S. Main St., Knox. Funeral services will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
