HAMLET — Marie B. Stickley Beron Hardesty, 90, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 in her home.

She is survived by her husband, Lyman “Max” Hardesty; daughters, Beverly Beron Ault of Plymouth and Karen Hardesty Slone of Hamlet; sons: James Beron of Knox, Max Allen Hardesty of Knox and John Hardesty of Hamlet; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Mapes of Bristol; and a brother, James (Kay) Seiders of Walkerton.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (Central Time) Sunday, Oct. 10 and one hour prior to services Monday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct.. 11 at the funeral chapel.

Burial will follow at the Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Grovertown or Hamlet United Methodist Churches or VNA Hospice.

KNOX — Lillian Colene (Givens) Hardt, 75, of Knox, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at Starke Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by sons, Randy (Crystal) Givens of Walkerton, Ron Givens of Texas, Hobert Givens of Knox, Jack (Bessie) Givens of Knox; a daughter, Donna (Doyle) Fisher of Knox; sister, Jannette Jeter of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, John Purser of Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, at Braman & Son Funeral Home, 108 S. Main St., Knox.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Round Lake Cemetery.

KNOX — Shirley Gay Hayes, 41, of Knox, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at Starke Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her husband Martin; children: Jennifer (Bruce) Williams, William Jones and Ashley Bierod; siblings: Gerald (Irene) Minard, Patricia, Julie (A.D.) Brackins and Kathleen (Keith) Schlamadinger; seven grandchildren and many additional family members.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, Justice, Ill.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial took place at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Ill.

NORTH JUDSON — Janice P. Henricks, 80, of North Judson, Ind., died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 in Golden Living Center, Knox, Ind.

She is survived by two sons: Don (Bonita) Henricks of Knox and Leo (Julie) Henricks of North Judson; two daughters: Diana (William) Smith and Janet (Goble) Conley, all of North Judson; three sisters: Alice Lane and Corrine Rooney, both of Florida and Connie Mahoney of LaPorte; two grandsons; four granddaughters; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation is Monday, Feb. 16, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 after 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Funeral services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. (Central Time) at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel with Pastor Michael Boyd officiating.

Burial will follow at the Round Lake Cemetery, Knox.

CULVER — David H. Hite, age 68, of 13813 State Road 17, Culver, IN, 46511, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010, at 2:45 p.m., at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth, Ind.

David was born Nov. 25, 1941, in Marshall County, Ind., to David Loyal and Mary Marguerite (Hoeszle) Hite.

David married the former Valerie Johnston Aug. 7, 1965, in Chesterton, Ind.

David owned J.D.H. Truck and Trailer Repair Service. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. David, and his son Bobby, were involved in 4-H in: Horse and Pony, Showing of Sheep, and Dog Obedience divisions. They also showed a horse on the Reining Horse Circuit.

David is survived by his wife, Valerie Hite; their son, Bobby and Jessica Hite of Culver; three grandchildren: Aurora, Westin, and David; his sisters: Shirley and Edward Wilcox of Argos, Ind., Barbara and Kenneth Dickson of Plymouth, Sue and Jan Warner of Plymouth, Lettie and Dennis Maxson of Plymouth, and Rosemary Johnston of Culver; and his brothers: Alvin and Connie Hite of Plymouth, Dwight and Donna Hite of Culver, Bruce and Pat Hite of Plymouth, Ronald and Mary Hite of Argos, and Ray and Margie Hite of Plymouth.

Memorials may be given to the choice of the donor.

HAMLET — Robert “Bob” Holm, 76, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009 in Goshen Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children: Steven (Claire) Holm of Portland, Ore., Randall (Barbara) Holm of Clearwater, Fla., Matthew (Tamara) Holm of Greenwood and Julianne (Robert) Havens of Knox; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers: Don (Doris) Holm of Leo, Jim (Sue) Holm of Michigan City and Tom (Betty) Holm of Aumsville, Ore.; and sister, Jan Powell of Michigan City.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 17 at noon CST at St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Hamlet. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet where military graveside services will be conducted. Visitation is Friday, Jan. 16 at the church from 3 to 8 p.m. CST and Saturday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the church. Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel, is handling arrangements.

KNOX — Lois E. Hubeny, 69, died Monday, April 20, 2009 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

She is survived by one sister, Mildred Loh of McHenry, Ill.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 23 at 11 a.m. (Central Time) at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Knox.

Burial will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox.

Visitation is at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel, Wednesday, April 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. CDT and Thursday 10 to10:30 a.m.

A Rosary Service will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
