KNOX - Lois Lucille Ebner, 76, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009 in her home.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Ebner; a daughter, Karen Lardino of Knox; three sons: Bill Watts of Arkansas, Walter Watts and Greg Watts, both of Knox; one brother, Paul Lute of Wisconsin; several step-children; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Thursday, Sept. 24 from 4 p.m. (Central Time)until the time of services at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date at Fletcher Cemetery.

KNOX — Patricia Edgell, 70, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 in Wintersong Village Nursing Home, Knox.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Edgell; daughter, Lanette Wireman of Knox; son, Joel Edgell of Hamlet; five grandchildren; one half-sister; and one half-brother.

A memorial service will be Sunday, April 26 at 4 p.m. Central Time at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. Visitation is at the church one hour prior to the service Sunday.

Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel, is handling the arrangements.


Mrs. Martha Ellis

Mrs. Martha Ellis, 63, of 614 ½ Lincoln Way, died at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Holy Family hospital following an illness of two weeks. She was born October 21, 1875 at Union Mills. Fourteen years ago, she came here from Knox. In 1890 she was married to Lawrence Freese in Plymouth. He preceded her in death in 1924. On February 7, 1929, she was married to Joseph Ellis, who died in 1930. Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Pentecostal church here. She is survived by six sons, Melvin, Murrel, Clyde, Jesse, Curtis, and Clifford all of LaPorte; five daughters, Mrs. William Southe, and Mrs. Lorraine Rose, both of LaPorte. Mrs. Ester Black, Grand Rapids, Mrs. Irene Kahlman, Michigan City, and Mrs. Bernice Hanselman, Hamlet; 22 grandchildren; two brothers, John Hayes, LaPorte, and Carl Hayes, Dodge City, IA; one sister, Mrs. Julie Palen, LaPorte. One daughter Mrs. Alice Decker, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the O.M. Haverstock chapel, the Rev. Ralph Flick officiating. Burial will be at Knox with Mr. Haverstock in charge. The body may be viewed at the chapel tonight and until time for the funeral. She is buried in Knox Cemetery in Knox, Indiana.
