Vivian Mae Davis, 86, of St. Paul, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital, in Greensburg. Born May 10, 1918, in Flat Rock, she was the daughter of Clem and Lucy (Pike) Higgins. She married Francis M. Davis on Nov.17, 1938, and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1989. Survivors include five daughters, Donna Sue (husband, Tom) Ellerman, Sandra (husband, Les) Holzhausen, Barbara (husband, Roger) McCracken and Rita (husband, Tony) George, all of St. Paul, and Karen (husband, Garry) Streeval of Noblesville ; and one brother, William "Bill" Higgins of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Willetta Courtney, Virginia Isgrigg and Elsie Barlow; and one brother, Leonard Higgins. Mrs. Davis grew up and spent most of her life in Shelby County. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Davis was member of Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Shelbyville for 43 years. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Robert Cavaness, Garry Streeval and Jeff Sangl officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery, in St. Paul.
