Ruth G. Degelow, 74

Ruth G. Degelow, 74, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, at Heritage House in Shelbyville.

Born Nov. 28, 1929, in Hancock County, she was the daughter of Ernest A. and Flora (Hack) Clayton, both deceased. She was married to Robert E. Degelow; he preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1993.

Mrs. Degelow had lived in the area her entire life. She worked at the State Bank of Waldron for 10 years, retiring in 1991. She had also worked at the St. Paul Liquor Store for nine years, retiring in 2003. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Shelby County, and was a member NAAMAH Chapter #73 Order of Eastern Star.
