Everett E. Grizzell Jr., 73, of Connersville, died Sunday, Aug. 1,
2004, at his residence.

Born Nov. 13, 1930, in Greenup County, Ky., he was the son of Everett and Mildred (Stevens) Grizzell, both deceased. He married Ethel Marie Bradley on Oct. 18, 1951; she preceded him in death on Jan. 20, 2000. Mr. Grizzell spent his early years in Laurel. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea and Germany. He farmed in Rush County for many years. He had also worked at Philco-Ford in Connersville and in the construction field. Survivors include sons, Rick Grizzell (and wife Susan) of Richmond, Va., and Larry Grizzell of Connersville; brothers, Robert Grizzell (and wife Marie), Richard Grizzell (and wife Irene), Carl Grizzell (and wife Sharron), and Wilbur Grizzell (and wife Minnie), all of Laurel, Ray Grizzell (and wife Marcella), James Grizzell (and wife Kathy), and Dean Grizzell, all of Connersville, Harry Grizzell (and wife Juanita) of Anderson, and Ward Grizzell (and wife Lucy) of Howard, Ohio; a sister, Jean (Mrs. Reggie) Hill of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miller, Moster Robbins Funeral Home in Connersville, with the Rev. Gary Kirchoff officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Covenant Hospice of New Castle.. |
