Wanda A. Childers

Wanda A Childers, 77, of Rushville, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.

Born Dec. 20, 1927, in Rushville, she was the daughter of Howard and Frances (Smith) Hauk, both deceased. She married Clifford E. Childers June 20, 1964; he survives

Mrs. Childers was a homemaker. She had also worked at the former International Furniture and Wilke Furniture companies. She was a member of the Rushville Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors in addition to her husband include three sons, David M. Sturgeon and Steve L. Sturgeon, both of Rushville, and Jeff L. Sturgeon (and wife Barbara) of North Bend, Wash.; one step son, Joe Childers of Florida; one step daughter, Janice (Mrs. Tom) Sosbe of Florida; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers,

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with the Rev. Gerald Holdman officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
