Loren S. Baker, 88, of Morristown, died Monday, July 22, 2002, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville. Born Nov. 16, 1913, in Decatur County, he was the son of Frank G. and Zelpha (Harrell) Baker, both deceased. He married Lillian M. Quesenberry on June 30, 1935; she preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 1989. Mr. Baker had lived in Morristown since 1985; prior to that, he had been an Arlington resident for many years. He was a retired farmer and had also retired from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis after 22 years of employment. He was a member of Arlington Christian Church. Survivors include one brother, Frank Baker of Knoxville, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Effie Willis of Rushville; a daughter-in-law, Susie Baker of Normal, Ill.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with Bob Brock officiating. Graveside services will also take place at 10 a.m. Friday at Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary and prior to services Friday at the cemetery.
