2. Author: Kat Pettycrew I show Nancy DOWERS (TERRELL) as being born in Philadelphia or Lancaster County, PA in 1797, daughter of Conrad DOWERS and Mary SHIELDS. I don't have probate records for Conrad DOWERS but I do have papers relating to his discharge from the Revolutionary Army and his application for his pension, as well as the application of Mary SHIELDS (DOWERS) for the continuation of that pension. I show that Conrad DOWERS was born about 7 miles from Philadelphia, PA in 1764 and lived in Lancaster County, PA as of his enlistment in 03/1778. The name in the church book where Conrad and Mary were married is shown as Towerhower or Tauhauer.
