Services were held today for Weltha W. Wood, 93, Parker City, who died Thursday at Parker Health Care Center, Parker City, following an extended illness. She was a Ridgeville native. Burial took place in Hopewell Cemetery, near Farmland.
Born Dec. 6, 1909, in Ridgeville, to James and Flora (Williams) Spence, she married Robert E. Woods who died in 2000.
A member of Parker United Methodist Church and the Parker chapter of the Eastern Star, she was a homemaker and an employee of Parker Dry Cleaners.
Surviving are one son, James Wood, Selma.
Thornburg-Lightner Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

WOOD, Sarah L, b. R.C. Nov.10,1843 d. Winnamac, Ind. Oct. 11,1894 age 50y 11m 10d. m. John H. Wood Sept. 21,1865, they had 3 children: Wood, Chase and Hally dec'd, at age 7yrs. Mary M. (Hiatt) Spangler a sis. of Sarah (Hiatt) Wood b. R.C. May 6, 1848 m. John Spangler Dec. 23,1815 moved to Canyon City Colo. d. Oct. 9,1894, had no children. The sisters grew up married and died nearly the same time. Sarah the eldest and Mary the youngest, both b. in the Winch. area. The children of Phares Hiatt who has a living son.The mother d.1886 and the father d. Oct. 23,1890.

Margaret Gerrhart Mar. 28, 1861. (Death rec.) lists Charles as 22y of age. Bur. in the Mt. Pleasant Cem. near Parker.

WOOD, William S., b. Ross Co. OH Oct. 11,1832. Came with his parents 51yrs ago to the farm where he died. He m. Sarah J. Isenhart Sept. 2, 1858. He had one son W.S. d. June 11,1881 age 54y and 8m. Bur at Mt. Pleasant Cem. near Parker. He was a mem. of the M.E. Church at Mt. Pleasant.
