Shirley E. Witt, 75

MUNCIE - Shirley E. Witt, 75, passed away early Saturday morning, November 4, 2006 at Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born October 1, 1931, in Muncie, the daughter of Charlie and Bernice Davis.  Shirley attended Royerton School prior to moving to Randolph County where she graduated from Green Township High School in 1949. A member of the Farmland Nazarene Church, Shirley enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.
          Survivors include three sons, Andrew Armstrong, Muncie, Benjamin Armstrong Jr., (wife-Julie), Farmland, Kevin Lee Witt, Portland; two daughters, Nancy Wagner, (husband-Ned), Fort Wayne and Jane Perry, (husband-Kevin), Muncie; two sisters, Phyllis Tharp, Phoenix, AZ and Marjorie Anderson, (husband-William), Auburn, IN; two granddaughters, Katharine Wagner and Elizabeth Sandefur; 7 grandsons, Benjamin Armstrong III, Brandon Armstrong, Spencer, Ryan and Tyler Witt, Andrew and Thomas Perry; and one great grandson, Caleb Armstrong. Mrs. Witt was preceded in death by husbands, Benjamin Armstrong and Clarence Witt; parents; one brother; a step son; and her nephew.
          Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2006 in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, Farmland, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate, Memorial and Tributes Program, Dept. 77-3968, Chicago, IL 60678.
