Obituaries
The Winchester DailyCharles O. Weimer, aged thirty-eight years, city attorney of Portland, died Saturday morning following a week's illness with pneumonia. He was the son of William and Mary Read Weimer, until recently residents of Union City, but now of Muncie. He was secretary of the M.E. Sunday school of Portland, was identified with the Liberty Guards, and secretary of the Jay County Y.M.C.A. drive. Politically Mr. Weimer was a Republican and four years ago was the nominee of that party for joint-senator from Jay and Randolph counties, being defeated by James R. Fleming by but ten votes in the election.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday forenoon at the Portland M.E. church by Rev. A.S. Preston, after which the remains were taken to Union City, where another service was held, followed by interment in the Union City cemetery.
