The Muncie Star PressWINCHESTER - Mary Lou Unger, age 70, of Winchester, IN passed away on Monday, October 9, 2006 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. Mary Lou was born on July 1, 1936 in Elwood, IN to the late Fred and Velma (Wann) Horton. She was a homemaker, and attended the Church of the Nazarene in Winchester. She enjoyed crafts and reading.

Survivors include her daughters, Clara (Gary) Lacy of Indianapolis, IN; Berta Wilson of Winchester, IN; and Renee (Tom) Martzall of St. Louis, MO. Two sisters, also survive Sherry (Richard) Cox of Dunkirk; and Karen Craig of Winchester. Surviving grandchildren are Karen and Kimberly Lacy both of Indianapolis; Heather Hofherr of Muncie; Jarod Speer of TX; Kristin and Lindsay Martzall both of St. Louis. Also surviving is a great grandson, Robert Thomas Wilson Speer of TX. Several nieces and nephews along with several great nieces and nephews also survive her. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Unger on December 4, 2004, and one brother, Charles Edward Horton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 14, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, IN with Pastor Roger Huffman officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory in Muncie, IN. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday, October 13, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
