Former County Official Is Dead

          Simon Ramsey, one of Randolph county’s most prominent citizens, passed away Wednesday morning of last week at his home on the Lynn pike. He fell a few weeks previous to his death and suffered a broken hip, since which time he has declined in health. He passed the eighty-sixth milestone of life’s journey the Friday previous to his passing away. He served a term as county treasurer following the civil war. Two sons, Charles, of Muncie, and Nathan, at home, survive. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at two o’clock at the M.E. church in this city. Interment was made in Fountain Park cemetery.
