A Randolph County Area NewspaperKNIGHT, Mary Ann Ranier, widow/o Henry Knight and dt/o Stacy Ranier, ploneer of this county d. at her bro-in-laws, John Longnecker, Feb. 17, 1888. Fun and bur. at Maxville, by Chas. Shultz and Elder E. Wall. Born in Preble Co. OH Oct. 29,1834. Came to Rand. Co. in 1831. She m. Henry Knight. She m. H. Knight in 1857. Her husband and 4 brothers, Joseph, George, William and Mahlon G. Ranier were soldiers in the Civil War. Her husband d. in 1884. Her bro. Joseph was discharged but drown on the way home. Mahlon was killed at Kingston, N.C., George d. in Missouri a few years ago.
