A Randolph County Area NewspaperRoscoe Everett Kirkman, son of John Wesley and Margaret Knox Kirkman, was born three miles northwest of Richmond, Ind., Dec. 24, 1864.

Died at the Methodist hospital in Indianapolis, April 10.
His schooling was obtained in Randolph county, Ridgeville college, Oberlin college and DePauw University, from which he received the degrees of A.B. and A. M.
He was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He also held a Bachelor’s degree in law.
He was married to Ginerva Hill, Dec. 24, 1890. Their children are: Mrs. Harold B. West and Roscoe Kirkman Jr., both of Indianapolis. There are two grandchildren: Richard Allan West and Robert Eugene Kirkman, and two brothers, Ora A. Kirkman, of Pasadena, California, and Victor L. Cook, of Marion, Ind.
The funeral services were held at the Lynn, Ind., Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Ephraim D. Lowe, pastor of the Olive Branch Christian church of Indianapolis, of which Mr. Kirkman was a member. Burial was by the side of his parents in the Spartanburg, Ind., cemetery.
