        KEPPLER, John, b. May 31,1838 in Germany and came to U.S.A. in 1868 to U.C. He was in the Civil War Co. D. 69th Ind. Vol. Inf. Aug. 9, 1862. He was s/o John & -- (Hewbrander), both b. in Germany. He died of ulceration of the stomach. He d. Aug. or July 1892.
Note: Death record lists his wf. as Ann B. (Brusch). A John.Keppler m. Ann M. Bowers Sept. 20, 1867.(marriage rec.).
